Notes for these snapshots taken in the dining room of my aunt and uncle's house in Inglewood in 1958 read: "Worn out in middle of move" and in the top picture my maternal grandmother Anna Delilah Webb Slater (seated, right) certainly looks like she is. My Aunt Olive is standing at the opposite end of the table and I assume the child-shaped blur behind her is my Cousin Susan.
The bottom photo is another candid shot, this time featuring my mother's brother James Robert "Jim" Slater (1919-1984).
