Didn't know Halloween cards went back that far -- teens, you think?
ReplyDeleteNo date was given by the NYPL but the postcard required 1 cent postage which remained that rate from 1873 through 1952 except for 2 short periods--1917-1919 and 1925-1928 when it was raised to 2 cents. From the style of this card I would assume it was before the first rate hike.
