Dad Currey (far right in the top photo) and his co-workers from California Electric Works traveled out to La Mesa to plant street trees along Palm Avenue.* I'm not surprised that he's the one with the biggest hat!

*If I'm remembering correctly, he identified some eucalyptus trees at Collier Park as being ones they planted.

There are some very tall queen palms still in existence on Palm Ave. in La Mesa, must be the same ones.
