The San Diego History Center (formerly San Diego Historical Society) carries the full-text and images of The Journal of San Diego online.
The Winter/Spring 2001 volume has several articles of interest for researchers of local San Diego records. They concern the creation and holdings of San Diego local records. Although written in 2001 it is a great find for understanding what kinds of records are available.
